Raven's Roost is a city in The Crucible, seen in the Nightmare campaign.
City History
The City of Raven’s Roost is an old historical city, with many years of history. Initially founded as a church town as a symbol of friendship between the clergy of Lathander and Selune, the city only grew from there.
Notable Locations
There are several locations of note within the city of Raven’s Roost, the primary locales of note are found in the cities three districts:
Iron District
An industrial area primarily with sparse residential areas and shops places in several locations. The area is primarily known for its factories but it also has:
1. The Black Heart - An infamous pub in the city for being the favourite haunt of it’s various ne’er-do-wells run by D. The party knows it to also be the secret hideout of Evellons crime guild.
2. The Callous Crook - A staff shop owned by Tymaldi Derringer, a Goblin Mage who sells his own homemade staffs and other magical items.
3. Final Fragrance - An alchemy shop and funeral parlor run by Grimvar, that sells various potions and poultices in addition to offering funeral services free of charge.
Gold District
The upscale economic district of the city, known for its large and fanciful apartments and shops, selling all manner of bourgeois goods from all over. The most notable shops and locations are:
1. Elegance In Steel - An Anonymous Armourer known for selling the most intricate and beautiful armour in the city, coveted by many from far and wide.
2. The Vigili Lodge - An Expensive and upscale apartment complex, rooms are 10gp a night. The party knows that Mark, the client for the job to find incriminating documents in the quarantine zone, lives here.
Stone District
The low income residential district of the city, primarily made up of housing and other residential buildings, this district has had a large portion of its area quarantined off. There are three notable locations here:
1. The Zone - A section of the city locked off by the guard due to a plague and subsequently filled with deadly gas.
2. Father Josef’s Clinic - A small clinic built to treat those suffering with the plague. Father Josef resides here, planning how to save his city from the cult and plague.
3. The Sewers - Beneath the Stone District is a massive complex of sewers stacked one on top of the other, the party had to travel through them to enter the zone. It appears somewhat filled with rats and cult activity.
