The Heart of Gold is the primary D&D campaign in the Elysium server. It consists of two subcampaigns, Prime and Sigil, with varying timeslots. The DM of the campaign is Seddik.

Introduction

After the Death of Bahamut during the Introduction arc of the Heart of Gold campaign, the party members were sent into the Heart of Gold which became their home. After several weeks within the Heart, the party emerged to find the Sword Coast thrown into a large-scale conflict, the sky stricken crimson by the destruction of the sun, and the balance of Toril at stake.

Characters

Events

  • Bahamut, God of Metallic Dragons, was slain by the Goddess Shar. A massive worm called the Sun-Eater emerged from the god's corpse and flew to 'Consume the Sun', as Shar claimed. This event was named The Death of Bahamut and caused an all-out war to break out in the Sword Coast between the Sharran Neverwinter and the Selûnite Waterdeep.
  • The party was split into two groups, a group to counter the Sharran thread in the Prime Material Plane which was called 'Prime Party' and a group to seek out Ur in Sigil. The latter was called 'Sigil Party'

Prime Party

  • The party made their way to Waterdeep, home to the Selûnite resistance, to offer their assistance and exchange information. The journey took them to Phandalin where a hostile stand-off with a group of Sharrans that were threatening peasants worshipping Tymora. This stand-off ended with the Sharrans defeated and Evellon and Abraxus being hit with a fireball. Despite the party's heroic act, Sister Garaele, the town priestess, was not happy saying that they doomed the town by obstructing the Sharrans.
  • To reach Waterdeep, the party made their way across Leilon, a scorched village that was caught in the cross-fire, where they found the lost traumatized child Lyra Jr. The party, despite Evellon's objections, agreed to take the child to Waterdeep away from the battlefield.
  • On their way to Waterdeep, the party had to go though the Mere of Death Men, an undead-infested swamp. The party learned from an injured squad of Selûnites that the undead are raised by a lich. And that the undead seems to be targeting Selûnites more than they are targeting Sharrans.
