Evellon is a Drow Rogue played by Lildoughnut in the Prime and Nightmare campaigns.

Background

Evellon had never quite fit in with those that call the Underdark their home. Strict gender rolls gripping this place, shackling every expression of self; needless to mention the disparity between male and female drow that has become customary and normalized. Evellon not subscribing to either, they sought escape from Menzoberranzen to finally be free. This was no easy task, but word must have spread.. Eventually someone came to offer them a proposal. A woman known as Lady Mirenne would escort them across a sharran checkpoint up towards the surface in exchange for a favor owed. They were tasked with "finding someone with a heart of gold" and to then make contact.

Once making it to the surface, they are finally in a brand new strange world after more than two decades underground, completely unknown to everything that is. Knowing better than to make for the closest city, they wished to be rid of their past forever; for it to not follow and instead stay buried. They head for Neverwinter instead, a seemingly large place, one easy to stay hidden in.

Needing a place to finally lay and rest, they eventually stumble upon an inn and literally bump into who would later become a close friend: Dawn. However they're not quite friends just yet, as Evellon is robbed blind. Noticing too late, they give chase and uncover The Black Hearts guild. Where Dusk defeats them in combat and is brought to their boss Sly. Dawn was amused by their fight however and wished for them to accompany the two on future jobs for the guild. Evellon accepts the deal and is inducted into the guild where they would spend the next three years alongside their new partners in crime..

Personality

Evellon is untrusting of those they do not know, keeping at arms length and not getting close until feeling like they can let their guard down.

Once comfortable with their newfound allies, they mellowed out and began to trust them more day by day, showing more of their quirks and mannerisms, no longer being such an ass to those around.

Abilities

Evellon is an arcane trickster rogue, meaning they use cunning to outmaneuver opponents and magic to shore up their shortcomings.

Opting for agility to brute strength, they catch enemies off guard and strike at their weaknesses with a flurry of blows before they can react.

Being a trained thief, they excel in blending into shadows and taking things that aren't theirs, all while being unnoticed.

Evellon knowing that one must do whatever you can with your life on the line, they fight dirty whenever given the opportunity, using poisons, spells, and guile to gain the upper hand.

Relationships

The first member they grew close to in the Heart of Gold campaign that broke them out of their shell was the Paladin Lyra, despite being polar opposites at a glance.

Other members such as Kierath and 3:36 soon followed as they grew closer over time as the world seemed to keep throwing trouble their way.

Outside and prior to this adventure, they were also close partners and friends with two members of The Black Hearts: Dawn and Dusk. The three of them worked together for three years for their boss Sly.
